This is is the newest and best bike patrol shoe on the market.These shoes were designed with the bike patrol rider in mind.They feature quality construction that includes: a soft, full-grain leather with Cordura panels, hard-wearing upper and a natural rubber outsole; sporty and breathable, yet traditional-looking upper that is easy to polish; SPD (Shimano Pedal Dynamics) and Time cleat compatible sole with beefy lugs; large, 3M reflective rear tab; and an innovative shoelace keeper.The co-molded midsole is rigid for maximum pedaling efficiency under the ball of the foot through to the heel area.The rigidity of this area also guards against discomfort over long periods of pedaling.Unlike most cycling shoes, the front part of P-SM820 is pliant and allows for walking and running performance similar to a recreational shoe.The outsole has an aggressive tread pattern for positive traction on most surfaces.
Bike patrol officers who have used the P-SM820 shoe have commented on how they are very durable and functional to the heavy-use bike patrol job.Riders state they are able to get in and out of their clipless pedals with no problems. They work great with straps, too. Tactical dismounts are smooth and allow for seamless transitions to running or walking. Riders will not experience the typical cleat scraping or clicking sound on the ground like that made by many of our competitors shoes.This lack of cleat sound makes for quieter tactical approaches on foot.
